Reissued!: Spiritualized, Ladies And Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space

There's a short list of things that could convince hanBrolo to emerge from the self-imposed blogger exile he lackadaisically entered over a month ago. News that one of the greatest albums of the 1990's is finally being re-released on vinyl is one of those things.

Those who care most likely know that the original pressing of Ladies And Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space can be located on eBay from time to time, but you're not likely to snag it for less than 100 bones.

That's why the news that this Tuesday, June 15th, Plain Recordings will be releasing a new pressing on 180 gram vinyl should be met with cheers and tears of joy from any self respecting music fan.

Reissued: Mazzy Star

The mysterious Plain Recordings has great taste in music. Over the past couple of years they have released vinyl reissues from My Bloody Valentine, Primal Scream, Elliott Smith, The Flaming Lips and Cat Power.

Go ahead and add Mazzy Star to that list. Plain will be releasing all three full lengths from the celebrated dream poppers on March 2nd. That's She Hangs Brightly (1990), So Tonight That I Might See (1993) and Among My Swan (1996). 180 gram.

You own Beach House records, right? Well those two were most assuredly listening to these albums in junior high.

You can pre-order from Aural Exploits. Looks like She Hangs Brightly might be available already so don't sleep on it.

Reissued: Spacemen 3

Just a heads up that Fire Records recently reissued the first three full lengths from Spacemen 3. For those keeping score that's Sound of Confusion (1986), The Perfect Prescription (1987) and the live album Performance (1988) now freshly available on 180 gram. Rejoice!

Spacemen 3 - 'Take Me To The Other Side':

Reissue: Neutral Milk Hotel

Merge Records will be reissuing both Neutral Milk Hotel full lengths on November 3rd (or is it November 17th? The site lists both dates).

On Avery Island and In the Aeroplane Over the Sea aren't exactly hard to track down for collectors but the pressings you'll find out there aren't really up to today's standards. Both of these releases will be 180 gram.

Neutral Milk Hotel - 'Holland 1945'

You can pre-order both of these now over at the Merge Store.
